Frequently Asked Questions
Starting therapy often comes with questions, especially if this is your first time reaching out for support. Below are answers to some of the questions I hear most often. If you don't see your question here, you're always welcome to contact me directly.
-
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what has brought you to therapy. We'll discuss your current concerns, relevant personal history, your goals for therapy, and any questions you may have about the process. There is no expectation that you have everything figured out before our first meeting. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported as we begin determining the best path forward together.
-
Finding the right therapist is an important part of the therapeutic process. During our complimentary 15-minute consultation, we'll discuss what you're looking for, answer any questions you may have, and determine whether my approach aligns with your needs and goals. If I believe another provider would better meet your needs, I'll be honest with you and help point you in the right direction.

Mosaic Mind Psychotherapy & Consulting currently provides virtual and in-person therapy for adults located in Florida. Virtual therapy offers flexibility and convenience while maintaining the same level of professionalism, confidentiality, and therapeutic support as traditional in-person sessions.
-
I work with adults navigating anxiety, OCD and intrusive thoughts, trauma, burnout, emotional overwhelm, relationship stress, grief, and major life transitions. Therapy is tailored to each individual's unique experiences, goals, and strengths rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.
-
My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and evidence-based. Depending on your needs, I may integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), mindfulness-based interventions, motivational interviewing, and other evidence-based approaches to support meaningful and lasting change.
-
Mosaic Mind Psychotherapy & Consulting is primarily a private-pay practice. Limited insurance options are available through select platforms. During your consultation, we can discuss your preferences and determine the option that best fits your needs.
-
Many clients appreciate the flexibility, privacy, and individualized approach that private-pay therapy provides. Private-pay services allow for treatment that is guided by your goals rather than insurance requirements, creating greater flexibility in the pace and focus of therapy. During your consultation, we can discuss whether private-pay or insurance is the best option for your situation.
-
Most clients begin with weekly therapy sessions to establish momentum and build a strong therapeutic foundation. As progress is made, the frequency of sessions may be adjusted based on your goals, needs, and preferences.
-
Many of my clients are beginning therapy for the first time. It's completely normal to feel uncertain or nervous about the process. You don't need to have the right words or know exactly where to start. We'll move at a pace that feels comfortable while working together toward your goals.
-
Therapy looks different for everyone. Some clients seek support for a specific challenge or life transition, while others choose longer-term therapy to deepen self-awareness and create lasting patterns of change. We'll regularly revisit your goals together and adjust your treatment plan as your needs evolve.
-
After you submit your inquiry, I'll personally review your message and reach out within two business days. We'll schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation to discuss your needs, answer your questions, and determine the next best steps for beginning therapy.

Yes. I have experience supporting first responders, veterans, and individuals working in high-responsibility roles who may be navigating chronic stress, burnout, trauma, grief, anxiety, or significant life transitions.
